Dr. Garth Leno, President
Garth Leno is a powerful and passionate communicator who loves to preach and teach the Word of God. His practical, relevant application of Bible truth helps people understand how to live. He has served in churches in Saskatchewan, Illinois, Alberta, and Ontario. From 1999-2003 he was on staff with Samaritan's Purse - Canada as a Regional Director. He now serves as the President of WORDfirst Ministries of Canada and also as the Team Leader for Pastor Care in the Canadian National Baptist Convention. Garth is married to Patty, and they have three children: Nathan (married to Sarah), Jamie, and Kristin (married to Dave).
Garth enjoys a fruitful Bible-teaching ministry in local churches, Bible conferences, retreats, family camps, and missions conferences. God has also used him to minister to pastors and missionaries throughout the world.
Garth holds the Doctor of Ministry degree from Bethel Theological Seminary (Baptist General Conference) in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Master of Theology and the Master of Divinity degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Evangelical Free Church of America) in Deerfield, Illinois, the M.A. in Church Planting and the M.A. in Church Revitalization from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Southern Baptist) in Wake Forest, N.C., and the Bachelor of Theology degree from Canadian Bible College (Christian and Missionary Alliance) in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Numerous articles written by Dr. Leno have been published in magazines and journals in Canada and the United States. He wrote a weekly newspaper column for more than 15 years. His books include Hebrews: The Superiority of Christ (1996), Staying On Course (2001), and When Everyone Does What Feels Right (2002).
